Description
J K Adams, Optician is a late 18th-century house that has been converted into a surgery. It features coursed squared rubble and dressed stone, with some areas rendered, topped by a 20th-century plain tile roof. The building has dressed stone quoins and a pair of kneelers at the front, along with two gable stacks. It is two storeys tall, plus garrets, and has a square plan with three bays. The windows are 20th-century cross casements with splayed stone lintels. The west front includes a central plain stone doorcase with large curved brackets supporting a plain hood, flanked by single casements. Above the door, there are three casements. The north gable has a leaded casement in the garret, while the south gable features two leaded casements to the right and a similar casement in the garret.
