Description
The farm buildings to the east of Old Mill House are a continuous range consisting of a cartshed, barn, and stable, dating from the mid to late 18th century. They are constructed from dressed stone and feature a pantile roof with a stone slate verge. The buildings are single and two storeys high, with a layout of 2/5/2 bays.
On the west side, the lower cartshed, which is now used as a garage, is located to the left and has a pair of doors. To the right is the barn, which includes three elliptical-headed openings with pairs of doors. It is flanked on the left by a door and on the right by a slatted casement, both of which have segmental heads. Further to the right is a close boarded door with a heavy stone surround, and above this are three square hatches.
The south gable features brick and stone steps leading to a close boarded door with a segmental head. To the right again is a two-bay cartshed that has a restored principal rafter roof supported by butt purlins.
