Description
Nos. 6 and 6A on Church Street is a house and office built in the early 18th century. It is constructed of dressed stone with a pantile roof and stone slate verge, featuring two coped gables with kneelers. The building has a single gable, single ridge, and single corner stacks. It is two storeys high and consists of three bays. There was an extension to the east in the late 18th century, adding a single bay. Most of the windows are 20th-century casements.
The south front has a blocked door on the left, with a casement window to the left and a canted flat-roofed bay window on the right, which contains a door. To the right of this is a late 19th-century shop front with curved fascia brackets and an inset door. Above the shop front, there are three 20th-century casements of varying sizes. The east gable features a blocked window above, while the west gable has a casement above. The rear of the building mainly has 20th-century windows. This property is included for its group value only.
