Description
Manor Cottage Surgery is a former house that has been converted into a surgery. It dates back to the 17th century and was refurbished in the 20th century. The building is constructed from coursed rubble limestone, which was previously roughcast, and features a stone slate roof. There is a small ashlar chimney situated between the right bays and a rubble stone chimney to the right.
The structure is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays. The windows are three-light wooden casements with single horizontal glazing bars and wooden lintels, all of which were renewed in the 20th century. There are small gabled eaves-line dormers that contain similar two-light casements. The entrance features a 20th-century six-panelled top-lit door located between the right bays, topped with a flat wooden hood supported by brackets. Additionally, there is an old two-light leaded casement in the right gable end. Inside, the building retains a chamfered spine beam in the centre bay.
