Description
Woodside House is an early 19th-century house located on Brincliffe Edge Road in Sheffield, with a late 20th-century addition and alterations. The building is constructed of coursed rubble, featuring a rendered left gable, ashlar dressings, and slate roofs topped with two rendered gable stacks. It has a plinth, a first-floor band, and a sill band, along with coped gables that have kneelers. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window range of renewed 12-pane sash windows.
The layout is a double range plan. On the left side, there is a reeded round-arched ashlar doorcase with a double rebated design, a half-glazed door, and a fanlight. To the right of the doorcase, there are two tall 15-pane sashes. Beyond this, the late 20th-century addition is two storeys high and has two windows. The left return features a crenellated parapet, and on each floor to the left, there are two sashes topped with raised triangular pediments. On the right side, there are the pediment and sill of a similar window, but these windows are blank. The interior has not been inspected.
