Description
Meadowlands is a house located in Corsham, built in the mid 18th century and early 19th century. It is constructed from rubble stone with ashlar dressings and features a stone tiled roof with coped gables and end wall stacks. The building has two storeys and a three-window range, topped with a coved eaves cornice.
On the right side, there is a full-height ashlar canted bay with a cornice that wraps around and includes 12-pane sash windows. The central entrance features a six-panel door set within a plain 19th-century surround, located in an ashlar flat porch, with a small 12-pane window above. To the right, there is a 19th-century sixteen-pane sash window on the ground floor and a three-light flush cyma-moulded mullion window from the 18th century on the first floor, complete with a hoodmould.
To the left, there is a lower two-storey one-window range with a coped west gable and end stack. This section has three-light windows with hoodmoulds, recessed cyma-moulded below and flush cyma-moulded above. At the rear, there is a gable on the right featuring an upper three-light bead-moulded window, and to the left, there is a two-storey outshut that is rendered and appears to be a later addition, although the walling remains unbroken on the east end wall.
