Description

CORSHAM PICKWICK ST 8670 (north side) 4/286 Nos 17 and 19 GV II

Two houses, late C17 and early C18, painted rubble stone with stone tiled roofs. No 17 is late C17, double fronted, one and a half storeys with west end stack. Two dormer gables with 2-light recessed ovolo-moulded 2-light windows with hoodmoulds, one similar 3-light window with hoodmould to ground floor left, 2-light C18 bead-moulded window with hoodmould to ground floor right. Central door in chamfered surround. Rear has chimney gable to left with 2- light recessed ovolo-moulded upper window and hoodmould. Rear wing to right with similar upper window in north gable. No 19 is early C18, two and a half storey, one-room plan with coped west gable and end stack. Tall coped dormer gable. Two-light recessed cyma- moulded mullion window to attic and first floors, dripcourse over first floor and ground floor glazed door in C19 bargeboarded porch. West end has attic single light, first floor 2-light, both with hoodmoulds and ground floor C19 canted stone bay window.
