GV II

Lodge. 1842-43, with late C20 alterations. By William Flockton. Coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and steep pitched slate roofs. External rear gable stack with coped octagonal stone flue. Tudor Revival style. Plinth, shouldered coped gables with kneelers. 2 storeys; single window range. Cross plan. Drive side has a single small window with label mould, and below, a moulded Tudor arched doorway also with label mould and close boarded door. Street front has a similar small window above, and below, a moulded 4-panel door with overlight and plain ashlar surround. INTERIOR not inspected. An ancillary building to the former Ecclesall Union Workhouse (qv).
