Description
This sewer gas lamp, located opposite the junction with Union Road, was built into a roadside boundary wall in the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and painted green, manufactured by the Webb Lamp Company. The lamp features a conical shape with a domed cap, supported by curved brackets at the top of a fluted round column that has a bulged foot and ladder rests. The lamp stands on a round pedestal with a plinth, and on opposite sides, there are moulded panels displaying the maker's name. Although it is complete, it was not working at the time of the survey.
