Description

This is a sewer gas lamp located at the north-west end of Moor Oaks Road in Sheffield. It dates from the late 19th century and was made by the Webb Lamp Company. The lamp is made of cast iron and painted green. It features a conical shape with a domed top, supported by curved brackets at the top of a fluted round column that has a bulged foot and ladder rests. The lamp stands on a round pedestal with a plinth, and on opposite sides, there are moulded panels displaying the maker's name. At the time of the survey, the lamp was complete and in working order.
