Description

Nos. 13 and 15 Taptonville Road are two houses built around 1850, featuring a boundary wall and railings that were later altered in the late 20th century. The houses are constructed from ashlar with rendered gables and have a slate roof with three ridge stacks. They have a plinth and wooden eaves with modillions. The buildings are two storeys high plus garrets and have a six-window range of twelve-pane sashes with stone lintels. Below these, there are four similar windows flanked by moulded doorcases that have bracketed cornices. Each house has fielded six-panel doors topped with Gothic traceried overlights. Each gable features a single window, and above, there is a round-headed garret window.

The exterior includes an adjoining coursed squared stone wall with slab coping and square gate piers topped with pyramidal caps. There are spearhead cast-iron railings with two gateways.
