Description
Nos. 46 and 47 North Green are two houses built around 1800. They are constructed of coursed squared sandstone with painted ashlar dressings and right end quoins. The houses have a pantiled roof with stone gable coping and are two storeys high with three wide bays.
Originally, there were paired doors between the first and second windows, but the right door has been blocked, and the lintel and jambs have been removed. The remaining door is battened and boarded, with a two-pane overlight above it, all set under a flat stone lintel. A similar door with a plain overlight is located in a plain stone surround between the second and third windows.
The late 19th-century sash windows feature flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills. The roof has swept eaves, and the right end gable has coping on a moulded kneeler. There are banded ridge chimneys located to the right of the second bay and at the right end of the building.
