Description
Mulberry House is a late 18th-century house constructed from coursed squared sandstone, featuring chamfered quoins, a plinth, and ashlar dressings. The roof is made of graduated Lakeland slates. The building has two storeys and three bays. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door topped by a fanlight with glazing bars, all set within a keyed round-headed moulded surround that includes impost blocks. On either side of the entrance are late 19th-century sash windows in canted bay projections, which have a sill band. The first floor has three similar sash windows with upper glazing bars, bracketed architraves, and a sill band, along with a bracketed square panel located below the central window. There is a banded chimney at the right end, and the rear of the house is reported to be constructed from coursed river cobbles.
