Description

Lucknow and Lyndhurst are two houses built around 1840. They are constructed of coursed squared sandstone with ashlar dressings and have a concrete-tiled roof featuring stone gable copings and both ashlar and brick chimneys. The buildings are two storeys high with two wide bays. There is a wide step leading up to the central paired doors, which have been renewed, along with overlights situated under flat stone lintels. The sashes, which have fine glazing bars, also feature similar lintels and projecting stone sills. There is a renewed jamb between the doors. The roof is characterized by long convex kneelers and banded end chimneys, with the left chimney made of brick. These houses are included for their group value.
