Description
Two houses, Glen Rae and Zetland, were built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of coursed squared sandstone with quoins and ashlar dressings. Number 7 has a Welsh slate roof on its right-hand side, while Number 8 has dark grey asbestos slates, both with stone gable coping.
Number 8 has three bays, and Number 7 has two. Number 8 features a renewed four-panel door in its central bay, while Number 7 has a four-panel door within the left bay. Both doors are set within doorcases featuring plain pilasters and entablatures, and have margined overlights. Canted bay windows are located to the right of each front door, with single-pane sides. All other windows are sashes with glazing bars and have flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills. There are three banded ridge chimneys, and a left-hand gable coping.
The interior of Number 8 includes keyed, round-headed panelled surrounds to cupboards, flanking a renewed chimney piece.
