Description
Nos. 58 and 60 on King Street are two houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of painted ashlar stone, with a rusticated finish on the ground floor, set on a chamfered plinth. The houses feature a graduated greenslate roof with rusticated ashlar chimney stacks. They are two storeys high and consist of two bays each, all under a common roof. The entrance has top-glazed panelled doors framed by fluted Greek Doric doorcases, which include triglyphs, metopes, and a cornice. The windows are sash style, set in plain reveals above recessed panels. Additional architectural details include a string course and eaves modillions, along with gabled dormer windows.
