Description
Nos. 10 and 12 Forest Road are a pair of houses built around 1860. They are faced with ashlar stone and have a Welsh slate roof, which has been partially replaced with concrete tiles. The houses rise three storeys and have a two-room double-depth layout with entrances on the outer sides. Each house features a six-panelled door with an overlight set in a stressed architrave, and above this, there is a pedimented window in a narrow outer bay. The gables, which are advanced, have an open pediment and flank paired four-pane sash windows of the inner units. The left-hand house has a pierced balustraded panel below the first-floor window. The gables also include a canted bay with four-pane sashes and a pierced parapet at ground level, with a four-pane sash window above, featuring a stressed architrave and entablature. At the apex, there is a round-arched window, and the roof has two round-arched dormer windows. The houses have axial stacks.
