Description
50 and 51 Abbey Foregate is a pair of houses built around 1860. They are constructed of brick and feature a Welsh slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic raised over a basement, and they present a four-window range. The outer doorways are three-centred arched, accessed by steps, and are adorned with hoodmoulds and eight-panelled doors. Each house has canted bay windows with stone dressings and a parapet, as well as mullions and transoms for the sash windows. These bay windows are located on either side of a central window that also has mullions and transoms, topped with a hoodmould over a flat-arched head. The upper windows are also sashes, featuring mullions and transoms along with hoodmoulds. The houses have a moulded stone eaves cornice and two coped gables with stone finials. There is an axial stack with star-like flues.
