Description
The Dun Cow Public House is a public house dating from the late 16th century, with later modifications. It features a timber-framed structure, with the lower storey now rendered and a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and a three-window range, showcasing three jettied gables that are framed in close studding and include middle rails. The gable apexes exhibit herringbone and ogee bracing. A central door is located in a projecting porch supported by Doric shafts, and there is a sculpted cow on the entablature above. The lower storey has twelve-pane sash windows and one fixed light window, while the upper storey features casement windows with leaded lights. There is a 19th-century stack on the right-hand gable and another at the rear left, along with a long rear wing.
