Description

This is a mid-19th century house located on Abbey Foregate in Shrewsbury. It is constructed of brick with a Welsh slate roof. The house is three storeys high and has a three-window facade. A central doorway is accessed via steps leading up to a portico featuring paired, fluted Doric columns and a triglyph frieze. Canted bay windows are positioned on either side of the doorway, featuring two-pane sash windows with narrow margin lights. The upper windows are four-pane sashes set within moulded architraves, with a pediment over the central window. A string course runs above the first-floor windows. The upper level includes six-pane sash windows in the attic and an eaves parapet. A wide dormer is visible in the roof.
