Description

This early 19th-century house is located on Knaresborough Road, Littlethorpe. The house is constructed of painted brick with a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high, featuring five first-floor windows and a two-storey bay to the right, each with its own roof. A short flight of three steps leads to a central, half-glazed panelled door with a fanlight, flanked by round-arched sash windows, all set within a projecting bay that extends through the first floor. A porch constructed from two square, reeded columns supporting a plain entablature and dentilled cornice adds to the entrance. Four pilasters embellish the door and side windows. Large sash windows with twin glazing bars, projecting sills, and incised keyed lintels flank the entrance, with similar, narrower windows on the first floor. The central canted bay features a 16-pane and two 8-pane sashes. A dentilled eaves cornice runs around the building, and a hipped roof is punctuated by two large stacks at the rear. The bay to the right has similar sash windows. The interior remains uninspected.
