Description
The gates, gate piers, and boundary wall to the Manor House date from the late 18th century to early 19th century. They are made of wrought iron, ashlar, and limestone. The gates consist of two leaves featuring plain bars and dog bars, along with lock rails; the central panel and upper edge are decorated with scrolls. The gate piers are made of rusticated ashlar, square in shape, and stand approximately 2 meters high, each topped with a projecting band and a shallow pyramid finial. The boundary wall is constructed of coursed, squared limestone, slightly shorter than the piers, and extends about 60 meters from the south-west corner of the Manor House to the entrance of Grange Farm. It has flat ashlar coping and is ramped at the northern end.
