Description
The Church of Saint Michael is a church built around 1880, constructed of brick in English bond with a blue slate roof. It features a four-bay nave and a one-bay chancel, with a south porch located at the second bay. The porch has a moulded-brick pointed arch and a barge-board on the gable, along with an inner board door set in a moulded brick surround. The church has lancet windows throughout and a bellframe in the west gable. The polychromatic brickwork highlights the sill band and window heads, and there are shallow buttresses. A wooden lantern and a lead-covered spire with lucarnes are situated between the second and third bays. The interior contains contemporary fittings.
