17 And 19, Taptonville Road And Attached Boundary Wall And Railings

17 and 19 Taptonville Road are two houses built around 1850, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. The buildings are constructed of ashlar stone and feature a slate roof with three coped ridge stacks. They have a plinth and wooden eaves with modillions. The houses are two stories tall, plus garrets, and have a six-window arrangement of twelve-pane sash windows with stone lintels. Below this, there are four similar windows flanked by single moulded doorcases that have bracketed cornices. The doors are fielded six-panel types with plain overlights. Each gable includes a single window, and above, there is a round-headed garret window.

The exterior also features an adjoining coursed squared stone wall with chamfered coping and square gate piers topped with pyramidal caps. There is spearhead cast-iron railing with two gateways.
