Description

Two houses, numbers 2 and 4 Collegiate Crescent, were likely built around 1845. They are constructed from coursed squared stone with an ashlar front, decorative dressings, and a stone slate roof featuring a single ridge and two corniced stone stacks. The houses incorporate a plinth, a band at the first floor level, a moulded wooden gutter held up by brackets, and coped gables. The design features a six-window arrangement per house. The windows are 12-pane sashes; the central window on each house has a moulded surround and a corbelled sill. A wooden doorcase with pilasters and cornices frames a margin-glazed door on the left-hand side, and a 20th-century door with overlight is on the right. Single windows are located on either side of the doorcases. The interior has not been inspected.
