Description
Agnes Verel House is a building that dates back to around 1845 and has been restored around 1989. It consists of two houses that now function as a hostel. The structure is made of brick with a rendered finish, topped with a hipped artificial slate roof and featuring two brick ridge stacks. It has a plinth and deep eaves with an eaves band. The building stands two storeys high and has a three-by-three window arrangement. The windows are glazing bar tilting casements. The front facing Brunswick Road has three windows set in slightly recessed bays. Below these windows is a central doorcase that includes a cornice and pilasters, a half-glazed door, and an overlight, flanked by single windows. The left side of the building, which faces Broomspring Lane, has three windows on each floor, all set in recessed bays. The interior has not been inspected.
