Description
Milestone located opposite the junction with Towngate in Penistone, Thurlstone, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is made of stone, featuring a flat face and a rounded top. The inscription on the milestone reads: "Barnsley 8 Miles Manchester 2 Miles."
