Description
Weaver's house at Leapings is a building dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared stone and features a stone slate roof. The house has three storeys and is three bays wide, with quoins at the corners. The central doorway is fitted with a four-panel door, and there are sash windows on either side, with six panes on the left and four panes on the right. The first and second floors each have a continuous ten-light window, which has four blocked lights that create three symmetrically arranged two-light windows, each with a four-pane sash. Small ashlar gable stacks are present, and at the rear, the ground floor is set back to earth. Access to the first and second floors is via stone steps. There is an outshut to the left. The house is noted as a good and complete example of its type.
