Description

Bank House is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, constructed of coursed squared stone. The front features a tiled roof, while the rear has stone slates. The building is two storeys high and has a two-room plan with a rear outshut. It is characterized by quoins and a central doorway that has a very deep lintel and a quoined surround. To the left of the doorway is a former three-light window, which now has a single central mullion, and to the right is a two-light window where the mullion has been removed. The first floor features a continuous ten-light window with alternate mullions removed. All windows have flat-faced mullions and 20th-century casements. Ashlar gable stacks are present, and at the rear, there are small chamfered windows to the left. A chimney stack and fireplace are attached to the right gable, which originates from former attached cottages.
