Description

Milestone located in the grounds of The Priory, dating from the 18th century. It is made of stone and has a triangular shape with one flat side and two convex sides. One face is inscribed with "to Manchester 10 Miles to Altrincham 2 Miles," while the opposite side reads "to Chester 28 to Manchester 10 Miles." The milestone is not in its original position.
