Description
Vale House is an 18th and 19th century farmhouse, now a house. It is constructed of brick, which is now covered with roughcast, and has a slate roof. The original L-shaped 18th century house was extended by adding a two-storey block within the 'L' shape. A central 4-panel door has an overlight and a timber trellis porch. One window is a 3-light leaded casement, and the other three windows are paired sash windows. A dentilled eaves cornice runs along the top. It is believed that the building may incorporate 17th century elements, as some timber framing and wattle and daub are thought to be concealed by the render.
