Description
Nos. 7A (Bowdon Old Forge), 8, 9, and 10 are a group of four cottages dating from the 18th century, located on Bowdon Park Road. The buildings are constructed of brick and topped with a slate roof. Nos. 8, 9, and 10 are three one-bay, two-storey cottages, while No. 7A, which incorporates a shop, has two storeys and features a gable facing the road. Each cottage has a segmental-headed brick arch window opening to the left and a door to the right, except for No. 8, which has flat arches. There is a flat-headed opening on the first floor of each cottage. The row has three ridge stacks. No. 7A includes one 20th-century multi-paned window on the ground floor, two 20th-century flat-headed openings on the first floor, and a small 20th-century shop extension to the right.
