Description
This milepost, located at the junction with Woodhead Road, dates from the mid-19th century and is made of cast iron. It features angled sides and a top, standing freely. The milepost has raised lettering, with the word "MILES" in italics. On the left side, it reads "SHEFFIELD / 8 / MILES," and on the right side, it states "PENISTONE / 5 / MILES."
