Description
Milepost located at the south side of the junction with Kingwell Road, dating from the mid 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features freestanding, angled sides with a swept top panel. The raised lettering on the milepost indicates distances: on the left side, it reads "BARNSLEY / 2 / MILES"; on the right side, "SHEFFIELD / 12 / MILES"; and on the top panel, "LONDON / 175".
