Description
This is a milepost located approximately 150 metres north-west of the entrance to Town End Farm. It dates from the mid-19th century and is made of cast iron. The milepost has angled sides and top and stands freely. It features raised lettering, with the word "MILES" in italics. On the left side, it reads "SHEFFIELD / 7 / MILES," and on the right side, it reads "PENISTONE / 6 / MILES."
