Description
This guide stoup, now serving as a gatepost, is located approximately 40 metres southeast of Hartcliff Tower. It likely dates from the late 18th century and is made of millstone grit. The post is roughly-hewn and features inscriptions on three sides. The south side reads "Rotharam ? Miles," the east side states "Penis B (s)tone," and the north side indicates "2 (Mile)s" with a crude hand pointing to the right.
