Description

This guide post, located on the west side of the junction with Moor Hill Road, is likely from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of stone and features a square-section monolith with a top that is chamfered to create a pediment on each face. On the south face, below a projecting band, there are well-cut inscriptions that read 'To Lindley' and 'To Longley', accompanied by pointing hands. The guide post has been relocated approximately 20 yards from its original position to the southeast.
