Description
Hill Grove Farmhouse is a late 18th-century barn and a mid-18th-century house located on Moor Hill Road in Salendine Nook. The farmhouse is designed in the longhouse style and is constructed from hammer-dressed stone with a pitched stone slate roof and coped gables. It stands two storeys tall and features stone brackets supporting the gutter. The barn includes a depressed arched doorway adorned with rusticated voussoirs and an elegant oval plaque, which has an erased date believed to be 1797. Additionally, the barn has an oculus with four keystones and two semi-circular lunettes, each with keystones. The listing primarily highlights the barn's architectural significance.
