Description
This is a barn dated 1662, located adjacent to The Green in Carlecotes. It is constructed from squared, coursed rubble and features a stone slate roof. The barn has three internal bays and is accented by quoins. The central entrance is square-headed with a quoined surround and a renewed wooden lintel. To the left, there is a chamfered, quoined entrance, and a similar entrance on the far right, which has a very deep lintel bearing the date. At the rear, there is an opposed, square-headed cart-entry. The right return has ventilation holes, and there is a dovecot in the gable apex. The interior includes two open trusses with struts, one of which has been repaired. A former cart shed to the right is not included in this listing.
