Description

This is a barn located approximately 60 meters south of Green Cottage, dating from the late 17th century with later alterations. It is constructed from roughly coursed limestone rubble and features a chamfered plinth on the left gable end, with weatherboarded gables at the cart entrances. The roof is made of corrugated iron, with coped verges and carved apexes. On the north side, there are two gabled cart entrances with double doors, which have lean-tos attached, and there are opposing entrances at the rear. The left gable end includes a two-tier rectangular air vent. Inside, the barn has a collar and tie beam roof spanning nine bays, which also extends over the cart entrances, supported by double butt-purlins.
