Description
Delmont Grange is a house from the 19th century, constructed of ashlar stone with a Welsh slate roof. The building features a central rear wing that forms a T-plan and stands two storeys tall. The symmetrical facade has three bays, with the gabled central bay slightly projecting forward. A square porch with a stepped gable and square, crenellated corner piers leads to a doorway that has a cambered head and a hoodmould with round stops. On either side of the porch, there are tall two-light casement windows with 20 panes each, topped by continuous dripmoulds that rise as hoods above them. The first floor showcases a central three-light canted oriel window, which has a small shield above it. The gable is designed to resemble the porch and features crenellated octagonal side turrets. The first floor also includes three-light windows with hoodmoulds, where each light contains three panes. The gable copings are roll-moulded and sit on kneelers adorned with carved masks.
At the rear, the central wing has four corner octagonal stacks. However, this wing is mostly hidden by a converted barn range that is not of special interest, as well as a brick addition to the left return, which is also not of special interest.
