Description
These are three houses located at 1-5 Corniche Road, built in 1898 by William Owen. The houses are constructed of brick with a plaster first floor and feature a hipped tile roof. They are one storey with an attic and consist of three bays. A cornice runs above the ground floor, and the first floor has some brick quoins.
The windows are leaded casements, with those on the ground floor featuring gauged-brick cambered arches. The first bay has two-light and two separate lights, the second bay has a three-light window, and the third bay mirrors the first. The first floor includes a central window with a brick surround and three lights, with diapering below. The other bays have four-light gabled half dormers with tile-hanging.
Entrances have elliptical heads, with doors that feature diapering above and below a three-light window. There are stacks located at the rear, which is similar in style to the front, with dormers, small-paned casements, and privies.
