Description
Nos. 230 and 232 on New Chester Road are a pair of houses built in 1898 by Grayson and Ould. They are constructed of brick with a plaster first floor and feature a tiled roof. The houses are one storey with an attic and consist of two bays. There is a cornice at the ground floor level. The windows are 4-light canted oriels with leaded casements and transoms, while the first-floor windows are set in gabled half dormers. The entrances are elliptical-headed with straight-headed plank doors. There is a cross-axial stack, and the returns have buttresses that are flush with the front. The rear of the houses is similar in design.
