Description
Nos 2 and 4 Park Road are a pair of houses built in 1894 by William Owen. They are constructed of brick with a timber-framed first floor and feature a tiled roof. The buildings are two storeys tall and have an L-shaped plan. The gables are adorned with decorated bargeboards and bressumers.
The first bay includes a small gabled projection that is balanced by a four-light canted bay window with an architrave to the right. The projection has two windows with gauged-brick cambered arches and sashes that have upper glazing bars, while the bay window features small-paned casements. The right return of the building has a projecting lateral stack flanked by sashed windows. The second bay contains sashed windows with upper glazing bars.
The right return also has a gabled projection with a first-floor jettied on carved brackets above a stone-framed canted bay window. The first bay on the first floor has a two-light casement, and the right return features a half-gableted window to the right of the stack. The second bay includes a gableted two-light window, while the right return has a three-light projecting window supported by decorated brackets, with a jettied gable above.
The entrances have three-panel doors with three lights, and the door in the second bay is sheltered by a canopy. The rear of the houses showcases timber-framed gables, a rear stack, and privies.
