Description
Nos. 5 and 7 Bolton Road are a pair of houses built in 1890 by William Owen. They are constructed of brick with tile-hanging and feature a tile roof. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of two bays, with a projecting centre beneath paired asymmetrical gables that have tile hanging.
On the ground floor, there are canted bay windows with cornices and parapets, which are sashed with upper glazing bars. The first floor features three-light small-paned casements. The entrances are marked by lintels and cornices, leading to three-panel doors with small-paned lights. The houses have a cross-axial stack and similar returns, with tiled gables and half-dormers, as well as two stacks. The rear also has a similarly styled tiled gable, along with a gable-end and lateral stack.
