Description

Three houses dated to the 16th century. They are timber-framed structures with a distinctive cruck roof system (four pairs of crucks), and have brick walling. The gable ends display the timber frame with brick infill. The roof is thatched. The houses are two storeys and five bays in width, although the two end bays of number 163 are only one storey high. They have casement windows, with the windows in number 163 being small-paned, horizontally sliding sash windows. There are three 20th-century gabled timber porches. Four brick stacks are present, two rising from the ridge and two to the rear.
