Description
The United Reformed Chapel, originally a congregational chapel, was built around 1840. It is constructed of stone and features a slate roof. The building has setback buttresses and a coped gable with a plinth at the apex. Above a blind straight-headed window, there is a wheel window with a trefoil above it. The chapel has two porches, each with two bays; the outer bays contain 2-light straight-headed windows, while the inner entrances are Tudor-arched and topped with gables. Between the porches, there is a monument to the Evans family, enclosed by iron railings. The five-bay returns have tall pointed windows with iron tracery and lower iron panels featuring shields. To the right, there is a new hall that connects to the chapel. The rear of the building shows signs of a 4-centred arch flanked by cusped blind lancets, which have been rendered, along with a small structure connected to the left side.
