Description

Three houses, likely dating from the 18th century, with alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The houses are timber-framed with whitewashed brick infill, and have a thatched roof with brick ridge and end stacks, mostly with rounded flues.

The houses are single-storey with an attic; the front has a six-window range. The entrances at the left end, centre-right, and right end have 20th-century doors, sheltered by a hipped tile hood, an open porch with a hipped tile roof, and an open porch with a lean-to roof respectively. The windows are 20th-century single-light and two-light leaded casements, and there are three gabled dormers with two-light casements.

Single-storey extensions are present to the sides, along with lean-to outshuts to the rear. Gable extensions and dormers are also present to the rear.

Internally, Number 37 has an open fireplace, a spine beam, a late 18th/19th-century framed partition, a raised cruck truss of light construction with old purlins, and front and dividing walls of brick. Number 38 has a similar open fireplace, beam, and cruck truss. Tudor Cottage features exposed beams, wide floorboards, and a hood to an open fireplace.
