Description
This cottage, dating from the 17th century, is located on the west bank of the River Avon, opposite Charlecote Mill in Avon Ford. It features a timber-frame construction with painted brick infill and a steeply pitched thatched roof, which has brick ridge stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and a rear outshut with a thatched catslide roof.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a two-window range, although one wall is mostly gone. The entrance, located at the right end, has a plank door set in a moulded frame. The windows on both the ground and attic floors are casements. Part of the roof is covered with tarpaulin.
Inside, there is a plastered smoke hood. The cottage is situated in a picturesque location.
