Description
The obelisk is an 18th-century structure made of granite. It stands on three octagonal steps and a plinth that features a heavy cornice. The obelisk itself has raised panels. Originally located at Risley, it was moved to the churchyard of St. Peter's in Newton-le-Willows in 1819, and then to its current site in 1897.
